LINC Executive Director, Mary Salkever recently graduated from The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg 2004 Fellows Program. Only 25 persons are selected to participate each year among a very distinguished pool of applicants. The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Fellows Program is a series of overnight retreats that blend hands-on skills, practical information, inspirational speakers, and the chance to explore nonprofit issues with peers who quickly become a support network of colleagues and friends.

The year-long program offered Executive Directors and leaders of non-profit organizations in Maryland a chance to hone management skills, work closely with other service providers, and carve out time to consider management issues that often gets pushed aside by every day issues.Topics included the context of the nonprofit sector, agency’s mission, outcomes, organizational development, asset-based approaches to problem solving, strategic planning, community capacity-building, board/staff partnerships, financial management, personnel issues, resource development, legal issues, risk management and other subjects. hops, and individual consultations.
