Free Toy Guide Available at LINC

Play is an important part of al children's lives, including children with special needs. LINC has on hand copies of the 2005 "Let's Play: A Guide to Toys for Children with Special Needs" to help parents identify appropriate toys and to recognize the qualities you can look for when selecting toys for children with special needs.

Under this project of the Alliance for Technology Access and the American Foundation for the Blind, toys in the guide were reviewed by more than 140 children with a variety of special needs throughout the country. Children of many abilities played with the toys including those with Down syndrome, visual and hearing impairments, cerebral palsy and muscular dystrophy.
