In July 1995, Broderbund Software, Inc., a vendor member of the Alliance for Technology Access, challenged software companies to address access issues for persons with disabilities when developing new software.

Broderbund has incorporated a variety of access features into its software such as the capacity to have text read aloud for persons who are non-readers or have visual impairments, enlarge print and graphics for persons with low vision, text options for persons with hearing impairments, and options for alternate access via single switch, expanded keyboard, and touch screen.

As a preview center, LINC has acquired the following software for its consumers. You may use the accessibility key below to determine if the software will meet your child's needs. LINC members are invited to use the software loan library to try out new software before purchasing. (Summer 1996)
