LINC's Projects

LINC provides services to persons with disabilities through the following projects thanks to the generous funding from a number of foundations:

Assistive Tech for DORS

FaST-LINC

House Calls

Computer Music Camp

Assistive Technology for DORS Clients

AT for DORS Clients

Services include evaluations, installation and configuration of Assistive Technology, and instruction related to AT and methods. The services LINC provides supplement current DORS services and enhance availability of timely and accessible AT services. Services are funded by the local offices of the Division of Rehabilitation Services for authorized DORS clients.

The Family-School Technology Partnership (FaST-LINC)

Baltimore City Public Schools Computer Program

Delivers services in two schools to students with disabilities who are placed primarily in “inclusive” classrooms. LINC conducts professional development for teachers, provides software in core curriculum areas, and maintains equipment and software.

House Calls

House Calls Program

Brings services to adults and children who are unable to travel to LINC. LINC makes long-term loans of adaptive equipment and software.  LINC staff configures computers and provides technical support in-home and over the phone.  Participants also receive instruction in the use of equipment and software.

The Creative Arts Computer Camp

Computer Music Camp

This is a yearly summer program for children with and without disabilities where they participate in computer-based art and music activities. Children work and socialize together, improve their computer skills, and gain a greater appreciation for the arts. They utilize adaptive technology and graphic arts software to produce creations in music, creative writing, and theatre production. Children go on trips to local cultural venues and meet successful artists who have disabilities.
