Ways to Help Support LINC

LINC is working hard to expand its circle of givers. We are asking members, individual contributors and organizations to ask their friends and family members to join us in contributing to LINC. Demand for LINC's programs and services has grown so increased funds are needed to meet operating costs. We have added new ways to contribute to LINC and hope that you will select one or more of the ways listed.

Gifts of Stocks Are Always Welcome

Individuals can give by turning their stocks over to LINC.

Contributors should send their signed stock certificates by registered mail to:

Alex. Brown & Sons
1 South Street, 24th Floor,
Baltimore, MD 21202.
ATTN: Mark Clark
For more information you may contact Mark Clark at 410-895-3960

Be sure to send a note with the certificate assigning the gift to Learning Independence Through Computers.

Give to LINC Through United Way

When summer draws to a close and the United Way campaign gets into full swing, LINC asks that you remember us in your contribution designation at your work place.

LINC is not a full participating United Way agency, so you must write in LINC on your donor card.

Be sure to write on the blank line:

Learning Independence Through Computers, Inc.
1001 Eastern Avenue, 3rd Floor
Baltimore, Maryland 21202

Please let us know if you have made a United Way contribution. Thank you for your support.

Honorary Gifts

LINC has received many gifts in honor of family members and friends. We encourage you to remember your loved ones by making a memorial gift. Special cards are available at LINC to acknowledge the family of the person in whose name the gift was given.

Endowment Fund

Laura Rosen of Sykesville established the LINC Endowment with her generous contribution of $50,000. Mrs. Rosen has been a long-time member and supporteer of LINC. The Middledorf Foundation which has previously supported LINC's software loan library also contributed $10,000 in 1998. Revenue from endowment gifts will be used for the general purposes of LINC or reinvested in the fund unless otherwise specified at the time of your gift.

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are needed to help with a number of LINC programs. Persons with technological expertise, teachers, carpenters, photographers, graphic artists, summer camp assistants, special event planners and clerical workers are needed at varoious times throughout the year. If you are interested in lending your talents to LINC, please call 410-659-5462 or send us an e-mail describing how you could help to info@linc.org.
