New officers and board members were voted in for a two-year term ending September 2003 at the
2001 Annual Meeting held at System Source. New Board members are Chris Oughton, member of the
Trust Operations Management Team at Mercantile-Safe Deposit & Trust Company; Charles Funn,
music educator and orchestra leader of the Dunbar Jazz Ensemble; and Calvin Bryan, of MBNA
in Delaware.
Chris Oughton, a LINC volunteer and financial contributor for over 10 years, has also agreed
to serve as Treasurer for a two-year term.
Bob Roswell will continue as president for two more years, and Robin Zimelman will serve as
Vice President of the organization and Pat Mullaney, Public Affairs Manager of Verizon-Maryland,
will serve as Secretary. Continuing to serve on the Board of Directors are James D. Hardesty,
Hardesty Capital Management; Vivian Slacum, BGE; Stuart D. Blumenthal, D.D.S.; Winnie Levinson,
parent; Andrew D. Levy, Brown, Goldstein and Levy; Leslie Seid Margolis, Maryland Disability Law
Center; Ellis Marsalis III, Ease Technologies; William F. Rienhoff IV, Credit Suisse First
Boston; Marian Vessels, TransCen, Inc.; and Paul C. Wolman, P.W. Feats, Inc. Kirk Kolodner, of
Adelberg, Rudow, Dorf & Hendler, LLC has agreed to continue as LINCís Legal Counsel.
LINC members June Kasecamp and Donzette Wimberly spoke to the guests about the computer skills
they acquired at LINC.
